The word homeboy is basically slang for a close friend. It's definitely nice to think that Jesus Christ is your friend, but listen to what Jesus actually says himself; "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." (John 15:14) So what did Jesus command? It wasn't to go and attend church, it wasn't to earn your way to heaven by doing good deeds, and He never said anything about any magic prayer that you can say but then continue living for your self. He did say that if you've had sex outside of marriage, stolen (copying CD's, downloading pirated songs or movies), been greedy, been deceitful, lusted, blasphemed God's name, been prideful... any of these things makes you polluted or offensive in the sight of God. Your soul is corrupt and disgusting in God's sight. He also said "unless you repent (turn away from your sins) you will perish" (Luke 13:5) There will come a day...when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord? (2Th 1:7?9). But first Jesus Christ came into the world roughly 2000 years ago to save sinners. He died on the cross taking the punishment for sin, then He rose from the grave conquering death and hell. If you obey this gospel (good news) by turning from your sins and trusting only in Jesus Christ to save you, He will make your polluted and corrupt soul clean. You will no longer be disgusting to God. You will become a new person in Christ. Do it today, don't put it off. Then read the Bible and obey what you read, God will never let you down. Jesus will then truly be your friend. (John 15:14)
