If you were to die today, how sure would you be that you’d go to Heaven and not Hell?  Would you consider yourself to be a good person?  Take a quick test to see.  Have you ever lied?  Ever stolen anything?  Ever hated, cursed at or spoke evil about someone?  God sees these as murder (Mt. 5:21-22, 1 Jn. 3:15).  Ever used God’s name in vain?  That’s called blasphemy.  Ever lusted after someone?  God sees lust as adultery of the heart (Mt. 5:27).  If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, murderous, blasphemer and adulterer at heart.  Would God judge you innocent or guilty?  Would you deserve Heaven or Hell?  If you’re honest, you know you’d deserve Hell.  There is a way of escape- the way of freedom.  “God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8).  God’s wrath was poured out on His Son on the cross who willingly bore the penalty for our sins in our place and rose from the dead (Rom. 3:21-31).   Do you want to be set free from the eternal penalty and slavery of sin and be at peace with God?  God said that you are "dead in your trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1) Are you willing to let go of your sinful life (repent) and follow Jesus?  Jesus promised, “If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed!”  (Jn. 8:36) How is this freedom received?  As a gift.  God’s promise is that Jesus, “Will save His people from their sins.” (Mt. 1:21) and “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Rom 10:9,13) For more information please visit:  www.YouGotOurTract.com
