Million Dollar Bill Gospel Tract: President Washington
Everyone wants big money. "Big money, big money!" is what contestants on game shows yell when they spin the wheel or gamble in Las Vegas. People spend their lives and risk everything to add to their bank accounts. Businessmen don't mind stepping on anyone to climb the corporate ladder. White collar criminals embezzle from companies and investors. Blue collar criminals rob banks. Did you know that Jesus Christ talked more about money than just about any other subject? He said, "What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?" (Mt. 16:26). The Tenth Commandment says, "Thou shalt not covet" (Ex. 20:17). This means that we should not greedily desire something (money or possessions) that someone else owns. This doesn't seem like a serious sin to Western cultures, but it is offensive to a holy God. He says that those who covet will not be allowed into Heaven (1 Cor. 6:10)! What about you? Are you innocent or guilty of breaking this command of God? Let's find out. Do you neglect time with your family to make more money? Are your children strangers to you because of your job? Do you skip worship services in order to work? That's the Fourth Commandment (Ex. 20:8-11). Have you ever lied to "get ahead?" That's the Ninth Commandment (Ex. 20:16) and makes you a liar. Liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 21:8). Ever stolen from the company? That's the Eighth Commandment (Ex. 20:15) and makes you a thief. Have you ever lusted after someone? That's adultery of the heart (Matt 5:27). If you have broken these laws, it makes you a covetous Sabbath breaker and a lying, adulterous thief! Can you see that you're in big trouble on Judgment Day? We all are (Gal. 3:10)! But God has made a way to be forgiven. You must repent- turn from all you know to be sin (Acts 3:19). Don't depend on your good works; they can't save you (Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 6:1). Turn to Jesus Christ, placing your trust in Him (Jn. 3:16). Jesus is God in the flesh (Jn. 1:1) who was tempted every way that we have been yet never sinned (Heb. 4:15). He died in our place so that we could be declared right before God (2 Cor. 5:21). What motivated this? His boundless love (Rom. 5:8-9). This is amazing grace- God's undeserved favor for those who only deserve Hell. Humble yourself and throw yourself to His mercy. Make Psalm 51 your prayer. Repent and believe the Gospel today. For more information, visit www.YouGotOurTract.com.
