Sorry, you're like the rest of us: unworthy. We're not even good. Good is "moral excellence." When compared to God's standard for "good" we all fall short. Have you told a lie? Rev. 21:8 says that all liars will have their place in the Lake of Fire. Have you stolen anything? 1 Cor. 6:10 says that no thief will inherit the kingdom of God. Have you hated someone? 1 Jn. 3:15 says that is murder. Can anyone say that they're not guilty? If we break just one law we are guilty: "For whoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all" (Jas 2:10). When God judges, will you be innocent or guilty? If you're honest, you know you'll be guilty on that day and deserve an eternity in Hell. Do you still think you are a good person or are you a sinner (Rom. 3:23, 1 Jn. 3:4) deserving the wrath of God? Jesus Christ died a criminal's death, not because He had broken the Law, but because WE had. There is nothing we can do that would be worthy of Jesus laying His life down for us, yet He did! Romans 5:8 shows God's love for us: "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." What should you do?
